Jennifer (Jen) Beard
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychologist
My speciality is in working with graduate and professional students seeking help managing anxiety. I am warm, curious, and down-to-earth.
Doing psychotherapy is the best part of my job. I am passionate about helping individuals in their 20's and 30's manage their anxiety. I have been practicing for 11 years, conducting psychotherapy sessions, but also working as a professor teaching courses to the undergraduate, graduate, and professional student populations. I approach treatment primarily from an interpersonal psychology perspective, informed by evolutionary psychology as well as my prior training in solution-focused therapies, positive psychology, and exposure therapies. People or all backgrounds and identities are welcome here.
