ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS April 2024 - DUKE STUDENT INSURANCE ACCEPTED somatic psychotherapy, mindfulness-based, relational, compassionate.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in the core belief that all humans can grow and heal when invited into safe and trusting relationship with themselves and others. Building this type of empathic and emotionally attuned relationship is at the center of my work. Life can be painful, joyful, confusing, unjust, and deeply meaningful, and we may seek help in navigating our lives due to numerous inner and outer struggles and circumstances. Alongside the power of relationship, I also believe strongly that somatic therapies, mindfulness, yoga, and contemporary neuroscience offer a range of transformational practices to allow the wisdom of the body to promote healing and growth. I offer my clients experiential opportunities to explore and shift their internal landscape to feel more joy and ease, less distress. I work with people to address a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, social anxiety, grief, trauma, eating and body image, relationship issues, life transitions, identity concerns, cultural oppression, family concerns, and academic stress. I welcome clients from all sexual orientations and gender identities, as well as all racial, cultural, and religious backgrounds.
