Jeffrey (Jeff) Simms

I am looking forward to meeting you. I am licensed in NC, VA and Texas and have 10 years of experience working with people with a variety of problems including anxiety, social anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, family problems, depression and relationship issues. My main models of counseling that I follow are cognitive behavior therapy, dialetical behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. I try to tailor the interventions to the individual, so I will ask for feedback from you about what was helpful and what was not. Our goal is to work together to help you reach your personal goals. I strive to always respect the uniqueness of my clients and their wishes and preferences. So, open communication is helpful between us. I will give you a lot of ideas regarding resources such as books, podcasts or other resources you can use between sessions also.
