Janice Herr

Janice Herr, LPC, is a dedicated counselor who supports clients throughout Texas in managing life’s complexities through individualized, evidence-based care. She provides compassionate therapy for a wide range of populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Her clinical expertise covers various concerns such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and childhood behavioral issues. In her practice, Janice offers individual, family, and group therapy sessions, alongside specialized services like intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP). A significant focus of her work includes assisting individuals recently discharged from psychiatric hospitals and those navigating legal matters, such as court-ordered treatment, workers’ compensation, and parental custody cases. Janice is committed to creating a structured and supportive environment where clients can regain stability, build effective coping mechanisms, and pursue more fulfilling lives. To ensure care is tailored to each person’s unique needs, she utilizes therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness. Janice has extensive experience working with diverse groups, including military veterans, first responders, the LGBTQ+ community, individuals involved in adoption or foster care, and those with developmental disabilities. Whether she is helping a client through grief, sleep disorders, or midlife transitions, her approach remains collaborative and client-centered to foster long-term growth and resilience. Outside of her clinical practice, Janice is passionate about reading, quilting, and conducting research, and she values spending quality time with her family.
