Janai Marshall
(She/Her/Hers)
Pre-Licensed Professional
With 10+yrs of providing culturally-sensitive trauma-informed care, I specialize in supporting Black, brown & marginalized clients, and Artists/Creatives.
Janai is a clinician licensed in VA with 10+yrs of experience supporting clients in a psychiatric hospital setting. She provides culturally competent & trauma responsive care using solution-focused, cognitive behavioral & strengths-based techniques. Janai gets excited to help professional Artists/Creatives support their nervous systems, to perform & create at a high level with greater ease, health, clarity & potency. She also strives for Black, brown & marginalized clients to feel particularly seen & supported in a safe therapeutic environment. Her client-centered philosophy puts you first in supporting your goals for therapy, aiming for every client to feel deeply affirmed, and safe to explore their healing journey. Janai believes you are the expert on your experience, and that growth doesn’t always require huge leaps of change but rather the incremental courage to make small, significant shifts wherever possible. She posits that the therapeutic process can help guide you through a journey of self-discovery, help you practice tools to support yourself through challenging times, and to come to solutions that make sense for your personal goals.
