My goal is to help clients identify which parts of their lives are limiting their goals and relationships and to find solutions that work for them.

I am a farm boy from Nebraska, who spent eight years in Catholic seminaries, five years as a Catholic priest, twenty years as a remodeling contractor, and the last twenty-two years as a counselor. Five of those years were working in an agency with adolescents in Omaha, Nebraska, and Council Bluffs, Iowa, including a year as a school counselor providing mental health services. After moving to Pittsburg, Kansas, I worked at Scott Greening Adolescent Addictions Treatment Center in Joplin and obtained my LPC license in Missouri. After obtaining my LPC license in Kansas, I began working with children placed in foster care, and with their parents and foster parents. In May of 2023, I was granted my clinical counseling license by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board. During the course of my time as a counselor, I have focused my continuing education on understanding the effects of early life experiences and trauma and helping my clients on their journey of healing.
