Imani White
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy for adults navigating anxiety, attachment, and life transitions.
Hi, I’m Imani White, LCSW, and the founder of Secure Mind Therapy. I work with adults who are navigating anxiety, trauma, attachment wounds, grief, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning and self-aware, yet feel overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or disconnected despite doing “all the right things.” Therapy often begins when pushing through is no longer sustainable. My approach is warm, collaborative, and structured, with a strong foundation in evidence-based care. I primarily use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Together, these approaches help clients build emotional regulation skills, increase psychological flexibility, process distressing experiences, and move toward a life that feels more aligned with their values. Therapy is not about fixing you, but about creating space for understanding, growth, and meaningful change. What makes Secure Mind Therapy unique is the emphasis on intentional pacing and nervous-system awareness. We move at a pace that feels supportive while still working toward clear goals. I aim to create a grounded, nonjudgmental space where clients don’t have to perform, over-explain, or have everything figured out. Sessions are reflective, practical, and focused on helping you develop clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of internal stability. Whether you’re working through long-standing patterns or navigating a new chapter, my goal is to support you in feeling more grounded, confident, and secure in yourself.
