Heather works with children and adolescents to target areas of difficulty in relationships, school, and social settings. Heather works collaboratively to develop communication and coping strategies that engage and empower individuals to manage stressors, feelings, and behaviors. She believes building positive relationships and working together are key to mental wellness. Heather’s goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment in which young people can process, grow, and explore not only their challenges but also their strengths. Heather is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and play therapist. She has worked in the school setting for 15 years and recognizes the challenges students face within the classroom. Heather firmly believes that communication between the home, school, and therapist is crucial in helping students find success academically, behaviorally as well as socially. Through years of working with children, she has discovered that building relationships and allowing children the opportunity to play and explore provides a safe environment for building trust and discovering growth in all children.
