I'm passionate about helping people thrive in their life & relationships even if they have intense emotions or high anxiety.

***Sessions with me are video-only.*** I'm passionate about helping people thrive even if they have extreme emotions like anxiety, anger, sadness, fear, jealousy, or shame. People I work with tell me things like "I can't turn off my brain," or "I'm all over the place," or "I want to stop overreacting but I just can't." They often feel at the mercy of their emotions. The quality of their relationships & jobs & daily experiences all seem to depend on how they feel at any given moment. Most of them are sensitive and insightful souls who have a real desire to feel close to others and feel more in control of their own insides. They just don't know how yet, so I provide the support and guidance to learn how! I have been counseling folks since 2008 and it's my true calling. I have a Master of Science degree in Clinical Counseling and an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction (Education...I had planned to be a classroom teacher but I learned I like one-on-one development of people more). I went to school at The University of Texas at Austin (grew up in Texas) and at North Carolina State University (I live in NC now). The main thing to know about me is that I'm very engaged and strategy-oriented in therapy. I build a strong connection with clients by listening carefully to their story and their patterns and then I identify tweaks & shifts that might help them get the life they want.
