Heather Johnson
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Hello! I am looking forward to working with you, meeting you where you are at, and moving you towards where you want to go.
It is my pleasure to introduce myself, and my private practice to you. My work ranges from treating stress, anxiety, depression, the effects of trauma, to other specific personal and relational issues. I am passionate about embracing neurodiversity (ADHD, Autism, etc.), body acceptance, attachment theory, religious trauma, and working to break family cycles of abuse and trauma. I will work with you to establish goals that are driven by you, for you. I am an active listener who is also willing and ready to offer insight and point out potential problem areas with permission. You will make the change-I can help you see it. I can provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Rational-Emotive Therapy, Existential-Humanistic Therapy, and DBT. As with many other modern counselors, I avoid a one-size-fits-all approach and often offer a blend of methods depending on what is determined to be the best approach for each client. I work mostly remote with one night of office space currently. This allows for a lot of scheduling flexibility!
