My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment and to provide empathy and compassion to all my clients.

Hello! My name is Hannah Avery and I am a licensed professional clinical counselor in the state of Ohio. I earned my master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Akron and a bachelor's in psychology from Kent State University. I have experience working with adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, anger, and stress management. I also enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients. I utilize a variety of therapy techniques in my work with clients, as I believe each person brings their own unique experience to the therapy room, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. I use cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness based techniques, and other evidence based practices. I aim to meet my clients where they are at and walk alongside them in their journey of growth and healing. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment and to provide empathy and compassion to all my clients.
