Halle (Hal) Barcus
(They/Them/Theirs)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA)
I am a queer and trans therapist who offers affirming, inclusive, and person-centered services for young adults and adults.
My name is Hal Barcus (they/them/he/him) and I am a licensed clinical social worker associate (LCSWA). In my clinical practice, I work with individuals ages 18+, and I aim to offer support for stress, life and identity transitions, anxiety and panic disorders, depression, suicidal ideation and self-injury, mood dysregulation, and ADHD. Additionally, as a queer and trans person, I am especially passionate about serving members of the LGBTQ+ community. My clinical practice is intentionally inclusive and affirming for all clients, and my work is informed by anti-racist and feminist principles. I am dedicated to providing support to individuals seeking growth and change in their lives. As a trauma-informed and neuroaffirmative therapist, my practice is rooted in the belief that there is no one-size-fits-all treatment. With this, I use a variety of therapeutic modalities, based on your needs and lived experiences, to help you reach the goals you choose to set. Some of these modalities may look like Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as relational, somatic, and holistic approaches.
