Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
You've held it together long enough - let this be where you set it down.
Hi, I’m Haley — founder of Homestead Healing. If you’re here, life may feel heavier than usual. Maybe anxiety feels loud, relationships feel strained, or you’re simply overwhelmed. Or maybe you just need a space to breathe. Showing up here is already brave. I created Homestead Healing to feel like home — safe, grounded, and compassionate. A place where you can set everything down and trust that what you share stays here, held with care. My Approach I believe therapy should feel real, human, and heart-centered — not clinical or cold. My role isn’t to fix you — because you’re not broken. It’s to walk beside you as you untangle thoughts that feel too loud, say the things you’ve been holding in, and rediscover your strength. I meet clients with empathy, curiosity, and respect for their story. Healing isn’t linear or one-size-fits-all. Together, we create a space that feels steady and safe — where growth happens at your pace. You don’t need to have something “wrong” to come to therapy. Sometimes you just need room to process and make sense of your world. Beyond the Couch Outside of session, my life is what I lovingly call organized chaos. I’m often mid-project — reorganizing, improving, or starting something new (usually convincing my husband it won’t take long). I find grounding in creating cozy spaces and tending to small details. My days are filled with kids darting around, pets underfoot, and the rhythm of home life. I recharge in simple moments — a tidy corner, a good book, time outside. I believe growth doesn’t have to be perfect — just intentional. Education & Experience I earned my B.A. in Psychology from NC State University and my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from NC Central University, with a concentration in Addiction Studies. My experience includes inpatient and outpatient settings supporting individuals navigating substance use, trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. I’ve walked alongside clients in crisis and in everyday rebuilding — experiences that shaped my integrated, person-centered approach. In 2021, I opened Homestead Healing to create a space that feels grounded and real — where clients can come home to themselves and feel truly seen. Why I Do This Work I know what it feels like to think, “No one gets it.” I once believed asking for help meant I wasn’t strong enough. Now I know the truth: seeking support is courage. Homestead Healing is meant to be just that — a home for your healing. 🤍
