Dr. Gurjot Reena Marwah, MD – Psychiatrist Specializing in ASU & International Students Graduate school can be both exciting and intensely demanding. Many students—especially international students—face added challenges such as cultural adjustment, language stress, isolation from family, visa-related uncertainty, and pressure to perform academically at a high level. These stressors often contribute to anxiety, depression, ADHD-related difficulties, and burnout. For 28 years, I have specialized in treating ASU undergraduate and graduate students, including a large international student population, helping them successfully manage the mental health challenges that commonly arise during university life and high-performance academic environments. My clinical work is grounded in evidence-based psychiatric care, with a focus on measurable improvement in symptoms and functioning. I routinely treat:     ●    Anxiety disorders (including generalized anxiety, panic, and performance anxiety)     ●    Depression and mood disorders     ●    ADHD and executive functioning challenges     ●    Academic burnout and stress-related impairment Treatment is individualized and may include medication management, supportive therapy, and structured, goal-oriented interventions, all guided by current psychiatric best practices and research-supported approaches. My aim is not only symptom relief, but also improved concentration, emotional stability, academic performance, and overall quality of life. I provide a safe, culturally sensitive, and collaborative environment where students can speak openly and receive care tailored to their unique academic and personal pressures. In-person and telehealth appointments are available, with immediate openings. You don’t have to wait until things feel unmanageable to get support.
