Evgeniya (Jenya) Fazletdinova
Psychologist
I specialize in multicultural counseling, identity formation, adjustment, existential questions, grief, acculturation, and relational concerns.
To me, therapy is the art of being a sojourner with my clients in their most challenging periods of life. Life is hard, as I learned too early in my own life. I know what it is like to suffer, and I also know what it is like to seek help, be honest and vulnerable in therapy, take steps towards change, and slowly recover and heal from unbearable pain. I was fortunate to have people who were with me in my pain, and I learned to do the same for others. We don’t need to do it alone. Unfortunately, community is hard to find in a fast-paced, individualistic culture, so therapy is an especially good place to start a safe relationship for your journey of healing. I specialize in psychotherapy with experience and interest in multicultural and international counseling, identity formation, adjustment, spirituality, and existential questions of life, grief, acculturation, and relational concerns. I love working with young adults, college and graduate students, and adults. I especially enjoy working with international, first-generation students, third culture kids, and Christian-identified clients. I integrate humanistic, existential, psychodynamic, and emotion-focused therapy in my approach to therapy. Outside of my work, I enjoy traveling, reading, dancing, biking, cooking, spending time with my wonderful husband and friends, and appreciating the beauty of this world.
