Erin Bahmer

Working with adults from ages 18 to 64, Erin Bahmer provides specialized psychiatric care centered on the fundamental belief that healing occurs within the context of supportive relationships. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, she partners with her patients in Philadelphia and across Pennsylvania to pursue individualized goals such as attaining wellness, enhancing quality of life, managing distressing symptoms, and establishing healthy connections. Erin holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin Madison and earned her MSN as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Drexel University. Her professional background is rooted in community mental health settings, where she has extensive experience supporting individuals navigating serious mental illness, chronic illness, and the challenges of homelessness and poverty. These experiences have shaped her specialized clinical interests in treating trauma and psychosis/schizophrenia spectrum disorders. A dedicated lifelong learner, Erin stays current with innovations in psychiatry to ensure her patients receive the safest and most modern care available. Her practice is informed by therapeutic modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Exposure Therapy. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys reading, swimming, listening to podcasts, and spending time in the outdoors.
