I specialize in the integration of Western psychotherapies and Buddhist philosophy/psychology.

I consider myself a generalist with specializations in depression, anxiety, life transitions, difficult relationships, and stress management. Many of the clients I work with are high-functioning individuals (at least on the outside) with a philosophical and psychological inclination. My therapy approach integrates two traditions devoted to alleviating human suffering: Western psychotherapy and Buddhist psychology. I draw on modern insights from developmental psychology, attachment theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy and trauma resolution; from Buddhism, I use older perspectives on meaning, identity, embodiment, awareness, and suffering. Some schools of therapy bridge this gap and I use those too, particularly Contemplative Psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Internal Family Systems. I often integrate psychoeducation into my work with the aim of teaching my clients how to become their own therapist. I often maintain a waiting list, but please feel free to reach out if I seem like a good fit. Once someone is on my list, I stay in monthly contact until a spot becomes available. I also run a psychotherapy group which tends to have shorter waiting list.
