Emily Crutchfield
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I support individuals navigating issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions, with a focus on healing and personal growth.
Great to meet you! Reaching out for support isn’t easy, and it takes a lot of courage! I show up authentically as a therapist — warm, present, and deeply human. I believe in creating a space where you can feel safe to be yourself, without judgment or pressure to have it all figured out. I value the therapeutic relationship above all, and I work hard to build a foundation of trust, respect, and compassion. Whether you're coming in feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or just needing someone to walk alongside you, I’m here to support you at your pace. I support adolescents and adults navigating a wide range of life experiences — including anxiety, depression, trauma, family challenges, relationship struggles, identity exploration, and life transitions. A bit about my approach to therapy: I believe you are the expert on your own life, and I see therapy as a collaborative journey where we explore what you’re experiencing and what matters most to you. I focus on empowerment, helping you reconnect with your strengths and uncover patterns that may no longer serve you. I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a powerful tool for processing trauma, shifting stuck beliefs, and helping the nervous system move toward healing. Whether we're using EMDR, traditional talk therapy, or a blend of approaches, I tailor our work to support your unique needs, goals, and pace. What you can expect from our first session: Our first session is all about creating a foundation. You can expect a welcoming, low-pressure space where we’ll begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions to better understand what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping for, and any important parts of your story you feel ready to share. There’s no need to prepare anything or know exactly what to say — we’ll move at your pace. You’ll also have a chance to ask questions about the therapy process, and together we’ll start to explore what support could look like for you. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling seen, heard, and a little more grounded in the decision to take this step.
