Elyse Galles

Focusing on the mental health of adults ages 18 and older, Dr. Elyse Galles provides comprehensive medication management with a specialized interest in supporting young adults and student athletes. Her clinical approach emphasizes total well-being, integrating medication with a focus on sleep hygiene, exercise, nutrition, interpersonal relationships, and finding daily purpose. Dr. Galles possesses significant expertise in women’s mental health, specifically addressing postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, perinatal mental health, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. A board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Galles earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her medical degree from the University of Iowa before completing her psychiatry residency at the University of California San Diego. Her professional background includes serving as the medical director for a residential treatment center in Malibu catering to young adults and working as an outpatient psychiatrist at the Family Health Center of San Diego.
