I believe people seek help from when they get "stuck" in some aspect of their lives. I help identify issues and develop strategies to move on.
Through my 30 plus years of practice I work to help others make changes, choices, solve problems, and to grow in order to get "unstuck" and progress. I take an active, interactive, and supportive approach to therapy and use a variety of approaches as needed, sometimes working with the past and always with applications to the present. My basic orientation is cognitive-behavioral, but I will employ a variety of techniques. I work with individual and couples, including same-sex couples. Adults experiencing work or personal difficulties due to diagnosed or suspected ADHD is a specialty and in such cases we work to develop strategies for better organization and focus.
