I am an EMDR therapist who uses a holistic approach to help clients build the skills and knowledge they need to make the changes they want in their lives

Everybody hurts and everybody struggles at some point in their lives. I believe that it is how we respond to and learn from these experiences that make growth and healing possible. Sometimes, we all need a helping hand-someone to support, guide, empower, and encourage us as we navigate difficult spaces. My practice, Hlin Counseling, is rooted in the belief of the power of connection and compassion to help people to not only process but transform their lived experiences into sources of strength, resiliency, and self-discovery. I partner with my clients to create a plan to address their current symptoms and challenges, as well as exploring the underlying patterns and beliefs which may fuel them, to empower people to fully live and enjoy their lives. Using a holistic approach that addresses both the mind and the body, I teach clients how to understand and work with their own nervous systems to support the change they want to make in their lives. I work with adolescents and adults and specialize in treating trauma, PTSD, grief and loss, Borderline Personality Disorder, ADHD, stress management, anxiety, and depression. Drawing on EMDR, attachment, and somatic-based practices, as well as the more traditional talk therapy, we will formulate an approach that is customized to you and your needs. Together, we will use compassionate curiosity to help you to reimagine your life and identify and tackle the changes that you want to make in a way and at a pace that feels doable for you. Using a tailored, integrated approach, we will add new skills and knowledge to your existing strengths and coping strategies to support resiliency, insight, and self-discovery as you attain your goals. Building off the foundation of our therapeutic relationship, we will create a supportive space together for sharing, learning, and healing.
