Elizabeth Tate (she/her pronouns) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate. Elizabeth went to Appalachian State University for her undergraduate degree and then completed her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Her background in sociology gives her a lens that she uses to understand each individual client’s context in society, which may be impacting their functioning or impeding their growth. She is also a board-certified telemental health provider and is experienced in providing competent, ethical care both in person and through virtual means. She works from a brief psychodynamic perspective, meaning she is interested in the relationships a client has experienced and formed throughout their life. She also utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy to engage the client in self-change strategies.
