If you are tired of doing the same thing and getting the same result, it may be time to get support to experiment with new ways of seeing the world.
If you are tired of doing the same thing and getting the same result, it may be time to get support to experiment with new ways of seeing or being in the world. I believe it helps to understand how you developed your current patterns while we also find tools to help you cope with emotions and express your truths—in ways that align with your values and get you where you want to go long-term. Personally, I started my career in religious publishing, where I worked on books that helped people wrestle with important issues in their lives. I went on to graduate with an MA in theology, as I tried to think through some spiritual issues that had shaped my own life. During this time, I discovered the healing potential of creative, emotional expression, learning to feel (instead of just think) through my experiences. At that point, I realized I no longer needed to hide behind the books I edited, and I then was able to pursue an MS in art therapy/counseling in order to directly connect with others looking for health and healing. Although, I have special interests in “creatives” and/or those wounded by religion, I also provide talk therapy and welcome clients of any or no faith background at all.
