In my practice, I center you as the client, your knowledge of yourself, and your values and beliefs in seeking to help you overcome challenges.

As a humanistic practitioner, I center you as the client, your knowledge of yourself, and your values and beliefs in seeking to help you overcome challenges. I believe it is my role to help you process and make meaning from your experiences as well as learn to more effectively manage your thoughts and feelings in ways that are congruent to you. Clients I see are often facing obstacles related to depression, anxiety, and trauma. I bring more than 10 years of specialized experience in working with adolescents and young adults identified as gifted, talented, and high achieving; individuals identifying as neurodivergent including those with diagnoses of autism and ADHD; and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. While my primary training and experience are in working with adolescents, young adults, and families, older adults are also welcome. I have specialized training and professional experience working with issues related to religion and spirituality, including religious and spiritual abuse and trauma, religious deconstruction, and finding connection and making meaning in the world. I believe it is my role to support you on your own spiritual journey, regardless of what faith or beliefs you bring to the counseling room, if any, and I will never make religion or spirituality more a part of the conversation than you would like it to be, and I do not practice from a specific religious perspective. I also offer ketamine assisted psychotherapy (KAP), which can be a powerful tool for working with depression, anxiety, and trauma, particularly when other treatments have been ineffective. KAP services are provided in collaboration with a prescribing physician. I believe the therapeutic relationship is a collaborative process. It is my role to help you define your goals but not to define them for you. Success in the counseling process will look differently for each individual. I would be glad to schedule a free consultation to help you decide if I am the right person for you to work with.
