Dienna Garcia

I am looking forward to meeting you. I have been a social worker for 20 years in an array of settings from inpatient hospitals and residential facilities to my current position as a therapist. I have worked with clients of all ages and cultures beginning my career in Harlem NY. I graduated from Fordham University in New York City focusing on Social Work, The Law, and Client Centered Management. I also have an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I have provided counseling using a strengths perspective, evidence-based strategies to families, couples, adults, and older adults faced with depression, anxiety, grief, past trauma, and addiction. I believe that each of us has a purpose in our lives and finding one’s voice can lead to self-discovery and finding new ways that work best for them. I provide guidance through compassionate engagement, discussing Holistic Care and encouraging self-determination.
