Deanna G (Deanna) McCaskill
(She/Her/Hers)
Certified Eating Disorder Specialist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), National Certified Counselor (NCC)
My counseling approach involves genuineness, fostering self-compassion and instilling empowerment for those I work with.
I provide fully remote therapy for teens, college students and young adults across Arizona, Colorado and Florida with a focus on identity development, perfectionism, and life transitions. My approach blends person-centered care with CBT, ACT, and DBT to support meaningful, lasting change. I'm in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Optum, Oscar, Oxford, UMR, UnitedHealthcare, Carelon and Quest in all states and additionally BCBS in Arizona and Colorado. No matter where you’re located in any state, I offer accessible and affirming virtual care to meet you where you are. Everyone deserves peace in their lives but oftentimes experience fear and self-doubt from difficult experiences or perhaps invalidating environments. I have had the dream of becoming a therapist since I was in high school, and I am grateful to be living that dream. Treating eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns is a population I thoroughly enjoy working with. In addition to that population, I have extensive experience in working with trauma survivors, self-harm behaviors, anxiety, depression and chronic pain and chronic illness. I am HAES-aligned, neuro affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming; and work to make all feel comfortable and welcome.
