David Scheer, a Doctoral Candidate with an M.S. in clinical psychology from PGSP Stanford University Psy.D. Consortium, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia and Maryland. After receiving extensive training in treating Post Traumatic Stress, and Substance Use Disorders, David spent two years in a Maryland private practice working with couples, families, and individuals from a wide range of ages, ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds. Before opening Ivy Road Family Solutions, David spent 2 years in the Charlottesville area, providing attachment therapy to foster parents of children with histories of abuse and other trauma. He is excited to bring these experiences together to provide an integrated model of evidence based treatments to folks in Charlottesville and the surrounding areas.
