30 years in practice

I welcome all clients. Individuals and families. My goal is to provide a safe and therapeutic environment to enhance behavioral/emotional well-being.

I have been practicing for 30+ years in a range of treatment settings from intensive inpatient hospitals, community mental health, school counseling and social work, to my current private practice. I work collaboratively with my clients to set goals in treatment that are reasonable and achievable. We will move at the client's pace in a non-threatening, comfortable, safe and protected environment. I offer office, community and in-home therapy. Individuals and families are welcome. David Raney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Kansas, offering in-person therapy in Topeka. He provides therapy for teens, young adults, adults, and seniors, addressing issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, and ADHD. David uses modalities such as individual and family therapy and is an LGBTQ-affirming therapist. He accepts Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, KanCare, Medicare, Optum, and United HealthCare, with payment options including sliding scale and out-of-pocket.
