Not accepting clients
Updated 30+ days ago

I am a queer, White, culturally Jewish, cisgender woman who specializes in working with adults on trauma processing.

I believe that the "personal is political" and encourage clients to explore how systems of oppression like racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia impact their mental health and well-being. Most of my clinical experience and interest has been working with complex-Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (c-PTSD), Anxiety, and Depression. I enjoy working with queer and trans clients; I am experienced in writing gender-affirming surgery letters. I take a "Health at Every Size" (HAES) approach to eating and exercise. I have been told that I have a calm, non-judgemental approach which allows for deep self-exploration, and a safe space for experimentation in skill building. I aim to create a space where clients will feel supported and accepted, while also aim to gently push clients out of their comfort zones so that you can learn new things about yourself and grow. I like to be collaborative and transparent about diagnoses and treatment approaches; there should be no mystery in what we're doing and why. I also am always encouraging of feedback and we will check in regularly on how we're making progress on your therapy goals.
