(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I am a queer, White, culturally Jewish, cisgender woman who specializes in working with adults on trauma processing.
I encourage clients to explore how systems of oppression like racism, sexism, homophobia, and transphobia impact their mental health and well-being. I enjoy working with queer and trans clients; I am experienced in writing gender-affirming surgery letters. I take a "Health at Every Size" (HAES) approach to eating and movement. I mainly use Internal Family Systems (IFS) as my approach, which I find to be less pathologizing and most helpful for trauma survivors. I have been told that I have a calm, non-judgmental approach which allows for deep self-exploration, and a safe space for experimentation in skill building. I aim to create a space where clients will feel supported and accepted, while also aim to gently push clients out of their comfort zones so that you can learn new things about yourself and grow. Pursuing therapy takes an enormous amount of strength and bravery. I never take it for granted that clients entrust me to move along side them in this difficult work. I see my role as reflecting, connecting, and guiding rather than giving advice or teaching. I believe we all have internal wisdom and sometimes we just need support to access it.
