I help college students adjust to college life, build friendships, manage anxiety, and navigate relationship stress in an affirming space for LGBTQIA+.
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not sure where to begin. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without pressure, judgment, or feeling like you have to have everything figured out. I work with college students and young adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or lonely while trying to adjust to college life. Many students struggle with school pressure, test anxiety, being away from home for the first time, or feeling like everyone else has already found their group while they’re still trying to figure out where they fit in. It can also be stressful to feel unsure about your future plans or the direction your life is taking. Sometimes the hardest part is feeling like you don’t have anyone you can really talk to—or being afraid to share how you actually feel for fear of rejection, judgment, or shame. Therapy can be a place where you don’t have to carry all of that alone. As a first-generation Mexican-American who navigated bicultural identity and was the first in my family to attend college, I understand how complicated the college experience can feel—especially when you’re balancing family expectations, cultural identity, and figuring out your own path. Together, we slow things down and talk through what’s really going on so you can feel more supported, confident, and connected. I also provide an affirming space for LGBTQIA+ students and anyone exploring identity, belonging, and relationships. You don’t have to figure everything out on your own.
