Dr. Cypher has over a decade of experience in working in a variety of mental health, performance, and educational settings. He is a New York State Licensed Psychologist, with specialties in Clinical and Sport Psychology. Dr. Cypher specializes in psychological services for athletes, teams, and organizations, including performance enhancement, psychological aspects of injury recovery, and athlete mental health. He also works extensively as a trainer and presenter, providing informative and interactive experiences on a number of topics, including the impacts of stress, mindset training for sport, goal setting for sport and life, and mindset approaches for coaches. Dr. Cypher is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant®, administered by the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) and serves as the Sport Psychologist and Mindset Training Lead for UR Medicine Fitness Science, a comprehensive athlete development program that combines athletic performance, nutrition, and mindset training to help athletes reach optimal performance. He is also listed in the Sport Psychology and Mental Health registries for the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee and is an independent mental health and performance provider as part of the Major League Baseball Players Association Mental Health Directory. Dr. Cypher is also a part of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology registry of approved mentors for students and professionals seeking certification as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant®. He is a member of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology's Web Presence Committee, working to improve the knowledge and awareness of sport psychology for athletes, families, coaches, students, and professionals and is a founding member of AASP's MMA and Combat Sports Special Interest Group, serving as a co-coordinator for the SIG.

    Certified Mental Performance Consultants® (CMPCs) specialize in training athletes and performers to develop the mental skills necessary for peak performance. CMPC is the gold-standard credential from the Association for Applied Sport Psychology. CMPCs also assist in overcoming performance obstacles and restoring high performance levels. In addition, CMPCs guide teams and organizations by addressing challenges, developing strategies, and enhancing overall team performance.
