You’re the author, not your stress or substance use. Start rewriting your story with therapy built for individuals who want real change.

I am a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist in North Carolina and have worked in the mental health and substance use field since 2012. I bring over seven years of experience providing individual and group therapy in residential and outpatient treatment settings. I completed my master’s degree at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in 2019 and currently provide individual therapy and substance use consultations through my private practice, Own Your Story Counseling. I have extensive training in evidence‑based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma‑Informed Care. My therapeutic approach is rooted in Narrative Therapy, empowering clients to take ownership of their stories and create meaningful, positive change. I am especially passionate about working with young adults and individuals struggling with substance use. My work is guided by a humanistic philosophy that emphasizes the whole person, individual experience, and personal growth. I offer a free 15‑minute consultation to discuss your goals for therapy and determine whether we are a good fit. During our first session, we will collaboratively establish your individualized treatment goals, session expectations, and therapeutic homework when appropriate. If you are seeking support to build confidence, manage life stress, address substance use concerns, or process significant past events, I am here to help you rewrite your story and create a more hopeful present and future.
