Cornelia (Connie) Lawson
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
I am a believer in the power of therapy for everyone. We all need a safe place to vent and feel validated in our experiences. I do so with hope & humor.
I have been working as a counselor for over 8 years and have found that through humor, collaboration and understanding- we can make incredible leaps towards healing and becoming our best selves. I look forward to guiding you along this journey. I first became an addiction counselor in 2017 and supported those struggling with substance use concerns, implementing a harm-reduction approach. I have since focused on working with adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety and trauma to reduce symptoms, find purpose and healing. I implement evidence-based treatments such as CBT, DBT, MI and TF-CBT. I also focus on clients with postpartum concerns, new parents adjusting to a new way of life and anxiety, including social, generalized, phobias and seperation. I look forward to meeting with you and beginning to work together to support your goals and provide space to process life's small and large hurdles, as well as being able to celebrate the wins.
