(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Hello! I specialize in working with anxiety disorders, PTSD, religious trauma, and recovery from relationship abuse.
Congratulations on starting to look for therapy, that's an important step you're already taking for yourself. I am from Minnesota and moved to AZ in 2020, I worked as a professor of social work at ASU and left to build my private practice, but I still love interacting with students so I'm happy to have a listing here. When I was a student in undergrad and grad school, I used the counseling department and was really grateful to have that help in a time of high stress. I understand students have so much going on and sometimes aren't sure who can help. Whether it's your first time living away from home, or you're returning to school with kids of your own, prioritizing your mental health and self-care will hopefully make this time a little easier. I am trained in EMDR, and I also like to use IFS, DBT, and CBT methods in therapy. I have experience working with people from many different religions, sexualities, ethnicities, and parts of the world as I have 10 years experience working in social work. I offer a non-religious space for clients to talk about their own faith experience and process trauma related to religion if needed. I also have experience working with people questioning their gender or sexual identity.
