Claudia De Los Rios
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC)
I am a bilingual Latina therapist who works with addiction, trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions and relational issues.
My name is Claudia De Los Rios, and I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate, and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate from Charlotte, NC. My approach to therapy is honest, collaborative, and warm. As a second-generation Latina, I believe in breaking the barriers of intergenerational trauma and empowering my clients toward their best selves. I specialize in substance use, self-esteem, trauma, grief, communication and boundary-setting skills, mood disorders, multicultural issues, LGBTQ+, and life transitions. I primarily use cognitive behavioral therapy, which examines the relationship between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I also use a person-centered, solution-focused, strengths-based approach, trauma-informed therapy, and motivational interviewing. I enjoy working with clients 18+, and Spanish-speaking clients. I understand how seeking therapy might make you feel slightly nervous or excited; feeling this way is normal. I believe it takes bravery to seek help, and I would be honored to join you on your path toward well-being and self-discovery.
