Claudia Canales

I am Dr. Claudia Canales (she/ella) Terapia en Ingles y Español. As a psychologist, my work centers on bringing health by accompanying you in your process of self-discovery, in visiting your lights just as much as your shadows. I have completed Somatic Experiencing training and incorporated body-based approaches to therapy. In addition, I use emotion focused interventions in order to gain access to the underlying dynamics that precede the symptoms that bring you in. My work is relational and therefore you can expect treatment to be consistent and frequent enough to generate the safety that will allow you to bring yourself fully. I only conduct telehealth visits so you can learn about yourself from the comfort of your home or in a break from work. My training in moment-to-moment processing allows for a very immersive and experiential type of work. The goal of treatment is to allow you to become more integrated as you navigate problematic aspects of the past and have the opportunity to take a new course of action in the present, try better fitting strategies, and recognize that you are capable of moving through suffering in a better way. I offer services in Spanish and English
