Dr. Christine Coleman, Ph.D
(She/Her/Hers)
Psychologist
I welcome and affirm clients of all identities and backgrounds in my practice. I offer mental health counseling via telehealth, and I have availability.
I very much look forward to working with you collaboratively to help reach your well-being goals. I graduated with my Ph.D in Counseling Psychology and School Psychology from Florida State University, completed my predoctoral internship at Duke University Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) providing psychotherapy services and psychological testing to undergraduate and graduate students, and completed my postdoctoral fellowship in a group practice, Developing Minds of North Carolina, in Durham. I am a licensed psychologist, and I integrate theory, research, and practice in my clinical work to provide evidence-based treatments. My experience working in a wide range of treatment settings have included university counseling centers, university career center, inpatient and outpatient hospitals, K-12th grade guidance department, and private practice. This has helped me develop a diverse set of clinical skills and the privilege to work with various presenting concerns among various age ranges, racial and cultural backgrounds, identities, and socioeconomic statuses. I approach treatment using an integrative and inclusive counseling style, using cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused, mindfulness, dialectical behavior therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. I currently offer mental health counseling with college students and adults.
