Gradually, together, we can work to identify barriers, name emotions, tolerate distress, and move toward the life you want to be living.
Greetings! I’ve been in practice since 2018 and have worked in a variety of settings, including community-based organizations, intensive inpatient hospitals, and my current private practice started in 2023. This is a second career for me and throughout my years as a therapist, I’ve observed how my previous experiences contribute to how I connect with people. I came into the field of mental health as an artist - I learned of Art Therapy and haven't looked back. While the principles in behavioral therapy, such as ACT, CBT, and DBT are invaluable, I'm also very interested in alternative modalities of therapy, such as art and yoga. I'm interested in the mind-body connection and physiological symptoms of stress and anxiety. I completed a Yoga Teacher Training in early 2025 to facilitate a better understanding of how to "befriend" the body for those of us who feel lost and disconnected. My approach is holistic and I provide a compassionate, collaborative, and non-judgmental perspective. I value curiosity, transparency, humor, and validation.
