Casey Miller
(He/Him/His)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
As a psychotherapist, I work with adults who want to live a better, more meaningful life that isn’t dominated by suffering and shame.
In my work, I believe my role is to help individuals tap into their inner wisdom and vitality during sessions to live better lives outside of sessions. I work with individuals to address issues including mood and anxiety, relationship struggles, substance use, life transitions, gender and sexuality, complex trauma, and identity exploration. I believe that we all struggle to deal with various types of pain, but with help, it is possible to live a liberated life. I work using ACT and other evidence-based practices. I strive to attune to each person's needs in their life context and I don't see clients as problems to fix but as whole, complex individuals. This includes supporting clients to untangle from internalized oppression, trauma, and shame. I am nearing NARM Level 2 certification for the treatment of C-PTSD. Having searched for my own therapist, I understand the challenge finding a therapist can present. I offer a free 15-minute phone or video consultation to help you get a feel for what working with me may be like. If you find we are not a fit, I will be happy to offer other recommendations for the help you need.
