Caroline Holcomb
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
I believe in the healing power of the therapeutic relationship, and approach this work with warmth, collaboration, and a focus on your strengths.
My approach to therapy is relational and person-centered; collaborative and strengths-based. My clinical interest areas include anxiety, depression, grief & loss, relationship concerns, eating disorders & body image, life transitions, and identity exploration. I often incorporate interpersonal, third wave cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based interventions and am trained in EMDR for trauma. I'm LGBTQIA+ affirming, work from an anti-oppression/anti-racist lens, and always strive to provide inclusive, intersectional care. I received my MSW from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2016, and have worked in a variety of settings including college counseling, eating disorder treatment, community mental health, and hospice care. I've recently moved back to Durham and opened my own practice. I really love what I do, and would be honored to work alongside you. Please reach out with any questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
