Carly Ostler
(They/Them/Theirs)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
I help the people I work with build loving relationships with themselves and the world around them.
Hi! I'm Carly. I am trained in EMDR, AEDP and other various modalities that I use to treat issues at their roots. As a systems therapist trained in trauma work, I understand the issues brought into the therapy in relation to the school, work, social and relationship systems involved. Yes, that does mean talking about your parents and how the messages you received in your family have shaped you. It also means talking about the ways culture, race, sexuality, work environments and general community affect the ways we feel and behave. When we look at how we've been shaped, we better understand ourselves and how we can best work with ourselves. I offer skills and techniques for self-observation, self-care, self-attunement and self-confidence. In my free time, I like to be outdoors with my pups, throw pottery and make conceptual art. I find that creating allows me to bring a creative flow into therapy sessions. Reach out for a free consultation to see if we might be a good fit!
