Carly Hudson
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
My heart’s desire is to meet clients uniquely where they are at, welcoming and honoring them as a whole person.
I graduated from Elon University with dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Spanish and Human Service Studies. I continued my studies at the University of Chicago, where I obtained my Master’s in Social Work (MSW) and worked in community mental health. Since then, I have worked in group practices supporting children, adolescents, and young adults who are coping with the effects of abuse, anxiety, depression, faith issues, family separation and conflict, grief and loss, life transitions, peer issues, disordered eating, and trauma. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and trauma informed. I consider my role as therapist to be one of the most sacred parts of my life. Not because of my own effort, but because of the beauty inherently found in walking alongside people in search of safety, meaning, belonging, healing, hope, and love. In and through each therapeutic relationship I build, I walk away changed and inspired by people’s capacity to forgive, grow, accept, change, and see the beauty in themselves and the world around them. Nothing brings me more joy than instilling hope and witnessing the magic of others overcoming difficult experiences.
