(He/Him/His)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
I am a Hope merchant and believe you already have everything you need to heal, within you. Lets unlock it.
If you feel like you have read all the books, thought through your problems endlessly, possibly even spending time in therapy with little success in the past, I see you! In my own healing journey, it wasn’t until I was introduced to somatic and experiential therapies that I was able to make notable progress. Neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Huberman states you cannot heal the mind with the mind, you heal the mind through the body. What does this mean? I utilize EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing), Internal Family Systems, and Somatic experiencing therapies to help clients process trauma and get to know the parts of themselves that they dislike, fear, or push away. Often this is done by moving into the sensations of the body. Along with sharing a therapy practice with my wife Ashley, we have 3 children and I am a 12 year veteran of the Wichita Fire Department. This job has allowed me to be with many individuals and families through traumatic events and great loss. I found myself wanting more and more to not only mitigate emergencies, but to help people build their lives back. Firefighters will rush to emergencies where they often preform life saving measures not knowing the ultimate outcome of the event or how many people were truly affected. My passion is to work with those who have been through traumatic events as well as the first responders who attempted to rescue or mitigate these situations. Stress and overwhelm hit both parties in different ways
