10 years in practice

My name is Brittney McVey and I'm a licensed clinical social worker. I provide virtual and in-person sessions for individuals, couples, and families.

I have been a social worker for 10 years. I began my career in the non-profit sector working with high risk youth in the juvenile justice system as well as focusing on youth suicide prevention. I have been in private practice since 2017 and recently became co-owner of Healthy Strides, LLC. My areas of expertise include working with clients experiencing mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief & loss, and anger management. I use CBT and DBT to create individualized treatment plans for each client. Through professional support in conjunction with evidence-based practices, clients can understand their mental health concerns more clearly, learn about the positive effects of coping skills, and learn how to manage their emotional well-being more effectively.
