PHL Therapy Collective is a client-centered practice providing low-fee services through graduate trainees supervised onsite and in their programs.
Therapy is a place for creating and holding the space for you to express and explore your feelings, your many roles that have been put upon you and those you do want, and changing some of the thinking patterns that don't serve you. This happens when curiosity meets uncertainty, when the pace of the session slows around uncomfortable feelings and thoughts and you are still held in esteem by one of our therapists. What we are afraid of saying and feeling and acknowledging is often the pathway to something less fearful, even exhilarating. It is also with a systemic/bird's eye view that therapy makes space for exploring the ways that you can reach your goals, whether that is a deeper understanding of yourself, gaining new skills and perspective, or disempowering that which doesn't serve you on your path of becoming your more authentic self - first with yourself in session and then with those around you. In a world of interlocking systems there is much you can influence, but there is also much that is beyond any single person's control. When you can see the areas where you have influence and put your effort there, you change the story about yourself.
