(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Orange Tree Counseling and Consulting is a virtual practice supporting individuals from all walks of life with a focus on LGBT+ and BIPOC college students
I am a Black queer licensed clinical social worker with almost 10 years of experience in a variety of therapeutic settings. I am a firm believer in centering healing over treatment and I work with clients in ways that lift up their experience at their pace while empowering them to explore and ultimately break free from patterns that cause suffering. That includes using humor, collaborating around the use of aligned cultural practices, and being accessible as a human myself. We will talk about what's going on in the world and how it's impacting you. We will destigmatize mental health, unlearn conditioned thoughts, reactions, and trauma responses, and explore who you want to be outside of stereotypes and expectations. Some of my specialties include working with race-related stress and trauma, relationship concerns, building self-esteem and self-confidence, and healing from past trauma. I find myself working most often with Black and Brown folx, the LGBTQIA community, and college students, though individuals from all walks of life are welcome into my therapy space.
