Brenda Fischel

Helping adolescents, adults, and seniors across Maryland find mental health support, Brenda Fischel is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in practice since 2002. She completed her undergraduate studies in Psychology at the University of Maryland Baltimore County before obtaining her Master's Degree from Argosy University. Brenda specializes in assisting individuals and couples navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, general stress, relationship difficulties, and co-occurring addiction disorders. Whether clients are facing obstacles related to academics, the workplace, family dynamics, or behavioral health, she provides a dedicated space for growth. Her clinical approach focuses on creating an emotionally safe environment to empower and encourage patients as they work toward their healthiest selves. In her sessions, she may incorporate various therapeutic modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Parenting Skills training. Outside of her clinical work, Brenda enjoys a variety of personal interests such as bird watching, walking, reading, and playing Scrabble or cribbage. She also spends her time listening to music, crocheting, watching football, and enjoying the company of her family and dogs.
