Blake Muehlich

Providing therapeutic support to individuals across Illinois, Blake Muehlich is a counselor dedicated to helping people find meaning, purpose, and joy even during times of significant suffering. He earned a B.S. in Psychology from Bradley University in 2014 and an M.A. in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary in 2021. In his practice, Blake focuses on creating a non-judgmental environment where the client-counselor relationship serves as a foundation for healing life-long wounds and personal growth. He is particularly experienced in assisting individuals through the process of faith reconstruction following a rigid Christian upbringing, though he is committed to working with and radically accepting people of all faiths, races, genders, and sexual orientations. His clinical approach incorporates several modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure Therapy, as well as mindfulness, family therapy, and parenting skills. Blake supports a wide age range, including teens and adults from ages 15 to 64. He also has experience handling specialized needs such as court-ordered treatment, disability paperwork, parental custody matters, and support for those recently discharged from psychiatric hospitals. Outside of his professional work in Pekin, Blake enjoys reading fiction, writing poetry, playing guitar, and connecting with his friends and family.
