Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I believe that one of the bravest things a person can do is to explore and understand their own story.
I am looking forward to meeting you. I have been in practice for 17 years in a variety of settings working with adolescents, college aged and adults. Most recently, I provided counseling services to college students through a local college counseling center. I love working with a variety of clients and client concerns to help them develop new skills, regulate emotions, and express themselves more fully. As a previous college counselor, I am drawn to working with adolescents and young adults as they determine their values and what they truly want out of life. I also enjoys working with people who may describe themselves as having perfectionist tendencies and those who sacrifice personal needs to meet goals. I approach treatment from a strengths perspective, using evidence based strategies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Compassion Focused Therapy. I am trained in EMDR and use this modality frequently when working with clients whom are healing from past traumas. I am also trained in bereavement following loss due to suicide. I value walking along side my clients to collaborative develop goals to meet your individual needs. Clients of all backgrounds and identities are welcome in my practice.
