With a career that includes serving on the faculty of Harvard Medical School and acting as Residency Training Director for two medical schools, Dr. Mills provides compassionate and evidence-based care for a diverse range of mental health conditions. Throughout his distinguished career, he has served as an Editor for the Harvard Review of Psychiatry and was recognized by his students at Harvard with a nomination for the Faculty Teaching Award. His professional contributions have also included consulting for the U.S. State Department. He is a recipient of the prestigious Rappaport and Laughlin Fellowships and holds the Master Educator designation from the American Association of Academic Psychiatry. Licensed to practice in California, Texas, and New York, Dr. Mills integrates therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness into his patient-centered style. He serves a wide range of populations, including preteens, teens, young adults, adults, and seniors. Outside of his clinical and academic work, he enjoys gardening, writing, and motorcycles. He and his wife, an experienced special education teacher, are dedicated to rescue animals and are the parents of three adult children and grandparents to four grandchildren.
